Although Jalen Rose got a recommendation from the Mayor of Detroit, Dave Bing, the verdict is still imposed Judge Kimberly Small from 48th District, Michigan, United States.

Jalen Rose himself pleaded guilty to the offense in May 2011. Before the accident, Jalen Rose drink six martinis. He then drove his SUV car. Rose was drunk failed to control his vehicle and crashed into a pile of snow in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan.

"I feel inferior, ashamed, and apologized. I can be sure if this will not happen again," said Jalen Rose who is now a commentator on ESPN, reported by the Denver Post, Thursday, July 28, 2011.

However, the verdict has not been executed because Jalen Rose attorney, Keith Davidson, would appeal. "Punishment should average only 17 days, but he (the Judge) sentenced Rose to 20 days in jail," complained Davidson.
